Prayer @ St Peter's

IMG0520

Prayer (talking with God) is central to life as a Christian and therefore is foundational to all we do at St. Peter's.

We believe that God answers the prayers we pray in Jesus' name and we are increasingly giving testimony to the ways He responds to the requests we bring to Him.

There are different ways to be involved in the praying life of our church family. The Prayer Group meets 3 times a month to pray, guided by the Holy Spirit, for the leadership, ministry and mission of St. Peter's. Prayer is also part of the other small groups that meet during the week. On the 4th Thursday of each month all who are passionate about prayer for our church family, our community and wider world meet to pray together for an hour in the main building. On Monday evenings and Saturday mornings Centring Prayer takes place in the quiet room. This is a silent contemplative time to be in our Father's presence. In our main Sunday meetings prayer for people's immediate needs is offered during Communion by our Prayer Team.

Anybody desiring prayer outwith these times can request this from the Team and Prayer Small Group.

It is hoped that in the future occasional longer times of prayer together will be facilitated.
Witten by the Prayer Team.
